Very often, common headaches are caused by the misalignment (subluxation) of spinal bones in the neck (cervical spine). The misaligned bones affect the nerves, blood vessels/supply and muscle tension in the cervical region. When the spinal nerves and related tissues are stretched, compressed or inflamed they can trigger headaches and even migraines.
Traumas and Forward Head Posture from poor postural habits like looking down at the computer, smart phone or doing other tasks (for long hours without moving much) are common contributing factors of cervical spinal fatigue, misalignment and disorder.
Headache medications may relieve or cover up these warning signs, but do not correct the underlying structural cause. Chiropractic adjustment has been very effective in relieving and preventing this type of headaches without medication.
